The Art Of Persuasion -- Halloween Candy

This semester, the kids are working on persuasive writing. What better post-Halloween topic to write about than "Why I should get more than 10 pieces of candy"? Here is Boo's essay, which is probably a little more revealing about me than him!
Dear Mom,

I think I should have more than ten pieces of Halloween candy. I worked hard and walked a lot while trick or treating and deserve to eat more of them.

One reason is that it would be wasteful to dump all that candy. I had probably collected 165 pieces of candy in all.

Another reason is because I do brush my teeth very well and I do eat all my food (well, most of the time).

I also will eat only a few pieces of candy a day. I won't eat enough to turn my teeth green.

If I get to eat more candy, I promise to sweep very well. I will try not to stress you out. I will also try not to make you say things three or more times.

As you can see, there are many reasons why I should have more than ten pieces of candy. I don't want to be wasteful and promise not to stress you out. So can I? Please?
